NorthAmericanRemoteIT is a division of Group 4 Networks, delivering specialized remote IT services across North America. Group 4 Networks was founded in 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, with a mission to make enterprise-grade IT management accessible to Canadian small and medium businesses.

From managed services to remote-first

In the early years, Group 4 Networks operated as a traditional managed services provider serving Toronto-area businesses with a mix of on-site and remote support. Over time, the data told a clear story: remote resolution was faster, more cost-effective, and increasingly preferred by clients who needed issues resolved in minutes, not hours.

By 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated an existing trend. Canadian businesses that had been hesitant about remote IT support found themselves relying on it entirely. Group 4 Networks' remote capabilities meant our clients experienced minimal disruption during a period when many businesses with on-site-only IT support were struggling.

NorthAmericanRemoteIT was established to give our remote-first service model its own identity and extend it nationally — reaching Canadian businesses in every province that previously lacked access to the level of managed IT services typically found in larger markets.
